Our family of six stumbled in here last night - what a stroke of luck! A quite traditional place (shoes off, all private rooms, on the floor albeit some tables have the foot well) which was a great experience in itself. We were made very welcome, given an English menu packed with Nara specialities (plus other options) featuring local products. We were delighted with all our dishes which ranged from sashimi to deep fried pork to Yamato chicken - very happy. Worth planning a visit while in Nara. Final point - the current rating does NOT reflect the experience - a quick reading shows low scores were from people who had a particluar issue (eg they do not accept solo diners). Ignore these and focus on the more balanced reviews from people who have actually been there! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
