Be careful and look at your bill, we were charged over 100 dollars for 3 meals. The food was 2 out of 10. Save your self from this place.Go to the Indian restaurant across the street, great service and fantastic food.
We went as a family to try a place in town we never have been to before as we are always looking for new things to try and enjoy small family owned businesses. I was very surprised after a dinner where my food easily fit on a styrofoam plate, that my own bill was 40 dollars, with an app and a dessert, and my sister's 4 person family where the 2 kids split a meal had a total of over 90 dollars. Specifically since alcoholic drinks are not on the menu. I think it's basic principle to not charge for a bottle of water if that's all you have and the meal ordered is 18 dollars. Everything was an up charge. We weren't notified during ordering. They made it sound as if we could try each side option and the kitchen would just give 1/2 portions. Only to realize it was a 3.99 upcharge. The food was okay, but didn't wow me and the portions were small for what we paid for, since eating on styrofoam and using plastic silverware. I had lamb shawarma and i suspect maybe had 1.5 oz of actual meat on my plate, if that. That's a bit pricey for mostly rice. Especially since i paid an extra 4 dollars for a tablespoon of hummus. 2 bucks for a bottle of water, etc. My sister was charged 3.99 for splitting the kid's meal....which the server suggested they do! Since they had no kids menu he just said he'd get them a chicken kabob meal for them to share. I would absolutely want to go back for the food, but I won't be for the shady nickel and dime business practices. At least bring me food on a real plate for those prices. Disappointing...
The food was tasty (the quantity is less like others have mentioned !!). The reason for 1 star is the deceptive service. Can you imagine making the dish "less spicy" will cost extra dollar ? (well obviously making more spicy will again be another dollar) ... I have never in my life heard of that ...if you need money just ask don't deceive people ...tell them right in front if they are asking for a different spice level it will cost "extra" ?People just be ALERT...just order what you see in the menu (don't order without asking the price that is not mentioned in the menu) and keep tab of the total amount. "also confirm the charges for changing the spice level" .I will never visit this place no matter how halal they claim !!!!
