Kadoya, a Japanese establishment located in the bustling Rue Saint Anne in Paris, is a must-visit for ramen enthusiasts. The interior design is simple yet cozy, with stool seating overlooking the kitchen and small tables. The ambiance is lively, with friendly staff providing quick service. Prices are reasonable, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal.
The menu offers a variety of Japanese dishes, including katsu don (roast pork cooked in an omelet and served on a bed of rice), yakiniku don (barbecued beef on a bed of rice), and gyozas (pan-fried dumplings). The karaage ramen (noodles in a savory broth with fried chicken) is a standout dish, although the broth could use a bit more flavor. The curry, both katsu and karage, is also highly recommended.
For drinks, Kadoya serves a selection of soft drinks and Japanese beers like Asahi and Kirin. Sake and plum wine are also available.
While the establishment can get crowded during peak hours, the wait is worth it for the delicious and affordable Japanese fare. Kadoya is a great place to grab a quick bite or have a casual meal with friends.
Honest fast Japanese cuisine (ramen, gyoza, yakisoba, donburi, katsudon) in this noisy, cheap and always crowded Japanese canteen. Service: Dine in Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Without doubt one of the worst in the area and is not even the cheapest. It's scandalous to offer 3 tokoyaki for 6 euros when they are probably not homemade. And even just 2 steps away for the same price we have double the fact before our eyes. The ramen has no particular flavor. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
The service staff were really not sympathetic to us... We came for a birthday and we asked them if it was possible to keep the cake for the duration of the meal. Their answer: there is no fridge... It doesn't matter, we waited until the end of the meal to take out the cake and blow out the candles. But a lady came to tell us that it was forbidden and that we had to put the cake away. Conciliating as we are, we explained that it was for the photo and we put the cake away immediately. However, the restaurant was empty, we ate a lot, so I think there was no reason for their refusal... Really disappointing on Kadoya's part.
