Great place for unique South African foods and wines. The selection is amazing and the food ringle your taste buds but the final check can be quite pricy even if you order just 1 drink and 1 main. The place also gets very loud by the evening Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Burger, Lam Burger

Kaia Wine Bar on the Upper East Side is a South African Wine Bar serving South African fare and wine list. We stopped by for dinner and enjoyed a bottle of Pinotage and elk carpaccio to start. For mains we had the lam burger, gatsby (portuguese roll stuffed with garam masala pulled chicken, peppadews, pickled cucumbers, mayo & fries), Wit Boontjir Sop Met 'N Kaas & Tamatie Braai Broodjie (creamy white bean soup & crispy prosciutto with a cheesy, tomato, red onion & chutney sandwich), and lamb skewers. Kaia Wine Bar makes for a great place to enjoy good wine and delicious food with a date or friend
