Just an outstanding Japanese French fusion restaurant in Kyoto. It’s a really small place with less than 20 seats. Top notch service, ambience and food. We had the 10 course meal. A must experience in Kyoto. Not a walk in establishment so reservations are a must have. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We booked Kakyo as it was right next to our hotel with high google rate. We decided to give it a try for lunch immediately after getting off the train.It turned out to be one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Japan. This is my third time visiting Japan, and honestly, this was the best meal I’ve had so far. I was truly touched by the chef’s dedication and care. You can feel the thoughtfulness in every detail, from the choice of tableware, to the presentation of each dish, and even the subtle decorations. It felt like we were genuinely being looked after. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the sincerity behind the food, and that made the experience incredibly warm and happy. I’m already looking forward to coming back next time.
