If you have never tried Mexican cuisine, you should order a table and try the menu at this bar. It's worth coming to Kalaveras because of perfectly cooked chicken, taquitos and queso fundido. Come here for tasty flans and good ice cream if you are hungry. It's a must to taste delicious margaritas, tequila or draft beer while visiting this place. In accordance with the visitors' opinions, horchata is great.

Music was playing so loudly that neighbors across the street were complaining. Food is meh but mostly they make no effort to be a part of the community they are situated in. Atmosphere: 1

Not really sure what to rate Kalaveras. My coworkers and I love happy hour, so we went to Kalaveras one time to and the music was SO LOUD. We were sitting inches away from each other and could not hear what anyone was saying, so it was awkward as hell as we all pretended to hear what each other was saying. Eventually we just stopped talking altogether and anxiously waited for the check (for a long time unfortunately). As soon as we paid, we left our food behind and rushed out of the restaurant so we could actually have a conversation. In fact I couldn't hear myself think in there. If y'all lower the music, we'd happily come back. The food is decent, the service wasn't amazing, but it was fine-ish. They have great deals on margaritas on Mondays and apparently $1.50 tacos on Tuesdays; it seems they're trying really hard to lure people in, but if people can't even talk, it's just a plain awkward experience.
