KAM SHING Restaurant, located in Montreal, offers Cantonese cuisine in a casual setting. The establishment has been around for almost 40 years and is known for its generous portions and award-winning dishes. The interior design is basic but clean, and the prices are fair for the amount of food served. The restaurant is situated in Plaza Cote-des-Neiges, making it easily accessible by public transportation.
Some standout dishes include the chicken General Tao, which is crispy and flavorful, and the jumbo shrimp with ginger beef in a pot. The Chinese broccoli on fried noodles is a must-try for those who love their greens. For drinks, they offer a variety of soft drinks and wines to pair with your meal.
KAM SHING Restaurant also offers take-out options for those who prefer to enjoy their meals at home. The staff is efficient and polite, although some reviewers have noted that the service can be slow at times. The establishment is COVID-safe, and the seating is spacious enough to allow for social distancing.
Overall, KAM SHING Restaurant is a fine dining spot that offers tasty Cantonese cuisine at reasonable prices. Its location in Plaza Cote-des-Neiges makes it a convenient option for those in the area.
For traditional Cantonese style food in Montreal, this is your go to spot. The restaurant itself is no-frills: simple plastic table cloths to make for quick and easy cleanup and turnover and minimal (no) decor. If you go at dinner time (6-730) especially on a weekend, you should expect to wait in line. But once you order, the service is quick and the food comes out hot. Some of my favourite menu items are the hot and sour soup, spring rolls (don't sleep on these!), fried chicken wings (that put KFC to shame), honey garlic spare ribs (once they're gone keep the plate so you can drizzle the sauce on EVERYTHING), chicken black bean, chicken and vegetable fried noodles, and salt and pepper shrimp. You'll probably leave with a stomach ache but only because the food is so good and the portions are so huge that you stuffed your face.
Kam Shing Restaurant Cote-Des-Neiges is an alright restaurant. Good: 1) Service is pretty good. 2) Food is here alright and tasted okay. 3) Its close to many shops and near the Plaza. 4) Public transit is good here. 5) Many foods to choose for your liking. Bad: 1) The restaurant is small. 2) They should have spoons for eating. All in all its a good restaurant to visit and we may come back from time to time. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
