I came here today and ordered jerk chicken, mac and cheese, banana pudding, Kool-Aid, and pork chops with several sides. The pork chops were decent but honestly should’ve been fried longer. The yams and potato salad were the only things I actually enjoyed. The mac and cheese was bad no flavor - I couldn’t finish it. The jerk chicken was a disappointment The Kool-Aid tasted watered down like it was missing sugar or mix. And the banana pudding was not good at all —(was looking forward to that smh) Overall, most of the food was disappointing and not worth the money.(The place was nice and the ppl was as well ) Price per person: $40–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I am so glad that they are closer to me in Peekskill. This place looks like they are your family, it's so clean. I really love coming here, my favorite thing to order is the Soul Bowl and it's always so comforting. I highly recommend this place for those who want to try soul food in the area. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

K&P Lounge is off to a rough start. I know it’s day 1, so I can’t be too hard on them, but this was truly not a great first impression. We ordered the shrimp po’ boy (with fries), macaroni and cheese, and the chocolate cake. - The shrimp in the sandwich was good — fat and flavorful — but the bread was stale. - The fries were probably the strongest part of the entire meal. They were fine. - The macaroni and cheese was only macaroni and cheese in the most generous sense of the name — there was pasta and there was cheese, but it seemed like there was no thought put into whether people would want to eat it. The noodles were overcooked and the cheese was congealed as if it had sat in the fridge for a few days and then been reheated in the microwave. - The chocolate cake was overly sweet, with barely any chocolate flavor. It felt like it was chocolate cake for people who hate chocolate. We sent the macaroni and chocolate cake back because we disliked them so much. I was personally hungry enough that I didn’t mind the po’ boy, but I would never order it again. Service was good in spite of all of this. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
