I had a very unpleasant experience at Kandy View Hotel. I booked a budget room through Booking.com, where the total price was clearly mentioned as LKR 2,783 including service charges. However, upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the price had changed without prior notice and demanded LKR 3,500, which I had no choice but to pay. The room conditions were extremely poor: No towel was provided Bathroom was not cleaned properly, especially the commode Hot water was not working Very poor lighting in the room No chair provided, making it impossible to do any office or laptop work If you plan to stay here for work or even basic comfort, the budget room is not suitable at all. Overall, this stay was far below expectations, misleading in pricing, and lacked even the basic amenities. I was highly disappointed and would not recommend this place to others Service: 1

We had a 1 night stay here during our time in Kandy. I had made a mistake in the booking, which was supposed to be for 1 day and instead I had booked 3. They were very kind about the last minute change. The service here is great, they were very attentive and were able to provide us with anything we needed. The place is a little outside Kandy and they were able to arrange a tuk-tuk whenever we needed. The rooms are a bit dated and some work is required to get the place looking a bit better. That being said, the pricing was great and with a lovely breakfast included I really think it’s a good place to stay. Thank you Service: 5
