I ordered food via Talabat from Karachi Darbar Hotel. The Nihari was absolutely excellent — top-class taste, rich flavor, and highly recommended. However, it was missing the traditional accompaniments such as ginger, lemon, and green chilies, which are essential to enhance the overall experience. On the service side, I had specifically requested extra roti during a phone call, but it was not delivered. I also had to follow up, and unfortunately, the response and attitude were not up to expectations. This needs improvement. Regarding the Mutton Biryani, I was quite disappointed. Instead of authentic dum-style biryani, it felt like spiced rice with curry pieces mixed in. The preparation did not match the description of “special mutton biryani” and did not reflect the traditional biryani standard. Overall: * Nihari: Highly recommended * Service: Needs improvement * Mutton Biryani: Not recommended The restaurant has potential due to its excellent Nihari, but consistency in service and authenticity of other dishes needs serious improvement.
