One of three highly rated TONKATSU spots in Meguro station area. Operated by very skilled OG’s and seamlessly provide best conditioned deep fried dishes from TONKATSU to seafoods. Vibes are very old fashioned, small but cozy space with TV broadcasting local news, SUMO, JPN baseball etc…. Near Meguro Station, there's a well-known katsu (Japanese pork cutlet) restaurant called "Katsuichi", one of several famous katsu places in the area. The katsu style here is traditional, much like other classic Japanese katsu spots: katsu, white rice, and cabbage, with options to enjoy it with salt, katsu sauce, or mustard. But honestly, what more could you ask for from a delicious katsu? Since everything is prepared upon order, it might take a bit of time to get your food, but that means you're getting the best quality. If you want to experience authentic katsu that locals love—one of the tastier ones at that—and you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend this place.
