Overall my wife and I enjoyed the food. I was hoping for Budae Jiiggae but unfortunately they no longer offer it. I opted for the kimchi stew and requested to add noodles. It was my first time trying it and I’m not sure what the flavor profile is supposed to be but it was rather bland. Tomato heavy and slightly bland. The saving Grace was salty side veggies (called banchan)that added texture and flavor. My wife got the Kimchi fried rice + bulgogi (which is extra) and it was good. Bulgogi was not as flavorful as I’ve had but it was still good. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant so service was a bit slow, but she was sweet and working her 150% best! We topped off lunch with mango bingsoo which was delish! 2 stars in atmosphere as there was vulgar rap playing loudly on the TV for the majority of our time there which was off putting. We will be back though to give it another shot and test some other dishes! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

The restaurant called to tell me that bulgogi was sold out. This is not unusual; however, not voiding or canceling the charge because they are too busy is unacceptable. I called back to be sure to get a confirmation email canceling the charge and was told she was too busy and it would be sometime Monday afternoon. This is not a return, it is due to their shortage and should be voided immediately upon notifying the customer. While I understand the staffing challenges, this person was clearly not concerned with holding my money for a non-existent order. I asked her to please take care of this by closing after the rush. She hung up on me and I have not received the cancellation. I tried to order twice a month to help this small business during the pandemic and I tip on pick orders. Only asking for the same courtesy.
