Ordered two kebabs, one chicken and one called “Simply the Best.” The chicken kebab was a major disappointment. At first, I thought I just got a bad bite, but it genuinely tasted like cigarette ash, so I spat it out. I gave it another try just to be sure, but unfortunately, the taste was the same. I grew up in the Middle East and have had all kinds of kebabs and shawarmas over the years. I understand that sometimes they’re cooked directly on the flame or metal to give that delicious smoky, barbecue style flavour but this was not that. This tasted burnt in the worst way and was completely off. I hope the restaurant can take this seriously and improve the quality, because this was genuinely unpleasant.
