We were visiting Moncton from Chester, Nova Scotia, for a short family vacation and knew we had to make Kelseys Original Roadhouse one of our dinner stops! I had eaten here about a year ago while in Moncton for a trade show and had such a great experience that I told my husband, "We HAVE to go to Kelseys while we're here." And once again, it did not disappoint! We had Anik as our server, and she was absolutely wonderful—bubbly, kind, sweet, attentive, and just genuinely lovely. She made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we sat down. The entire restaurant had such a fun, upbeat atmosphere. The staff were working like a well-oiled machine—serving, clearing and cleaning tables, helping customers, and jumping in to help one another. You could tell there was great teamwork happening, and as customers, we really noticed it. And THE FOOD. Oh my gosh. The last time I was here, I had the Mushroom Melter Burger, and I swear it was the BEST burger I had ever eaten—and I consider myself a bit of a burger connoisseur! So there was absolutely no question what I was ordering this time. I'm happy to report that a year later, it was every bit as incredible as I remembered. My husband had the Ultimate Bacon & Cheese Burger, our 9-year-old had the Crunchy Chicken Mac n' Cheese, and everyone LOVED their meals. Everything was delicious. I actually had to stop my husband from licking his plate. And because we were on vacation, obviously dessert was necessary! The Butterfinger Crunch Ice Cream Cake is BEYOND. Seriously. WOW. That's about all I can say... WOW! Our daughter had the Cookie with Ice Cream and absolutely loved hers too. If we lived in Moncton, we would honestly be regulars here. The food is THAT good, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the service has been fantastic both times I've visited. Thank you, Anik, for taking such great care of our family and making our last evening in Moncton such an enjoyable one. We will absolutely be back the next time we're in town—and yes, I'll be ordering the Mushroom Melter Burger again! Server was amazing!! We were catching up the whole time and he was non intrusive (which is a rare quality these days) and everything he recommended was so so good!! I don’t remember his name, but we will be back for sure!
