Extremely disappointing experience at Kelseys in Scarborough. We started with the calamari, which was overly salty and mostly consisted of vegetables and onions, with very little actual calamari. When we brought it to the kitchen supervisor’s attention, she was rude and dismissive instead of trying to resolve the issue. The only bright spot in the evening was the Mojitos and our waitress. She was sweet, professional, and genuinely apologetic for the issues we experienced. Unfortunately, despite her efforts, the main courses were a complete disappointment. The food was poorly prepared and among the worst restaurant meals we have had. It’s unfortunate that such good service from our waitress was overshadowed by poor food quality and unprofessional management. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning to this location. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40

Very relaxing and enjoyable experience at Kelseys Original Roadhouse We were seated upon arrival, given a booth according to our accommodations, and greeted by our server Jessie who was very helpful and sweet. Our drinks we ordered came quick and we were able to order two plates of Lemon Pepper Salmon—our favourite dish—even though it was currently off the menu. The salmon itself was delicious, with a light crispy layer on the outside and soft, moist fish on the inside that melts in your mouth. The pesto sauce we had asked to be put on the side was perfect with each item of the dish; salmon, broccoli and mashed potatoes (side dish choice), making it an even more enjoyable experience to mix flavour combos while enjoying company. Jessie was very nice to speak to, after delivering our dishes they often checked to see if we needed anything and were enjoying our meals, even making light jokes and creating a warm environment to talk about our plans for the day. Overall it was a great experience, would definitely come back again and recommend others to try out this location if they’ve yet to!
