A great local Thai restaurant with authentic food and a nice atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, and we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The prices were very affordable, especially for us as Europeans, and the portions were generous. The food tasted fresh and authentic, just like real local Thai cuisine should. One small tip: if you are not used to spicy food, make sure to order your dishes “not spicy,” because the Thai level of spice is definitely serious! If you’re in Koh Samui and want real Thai food without the tourist fluff, go to Khao Hom. The food was really good. Like actually good, not “good for the area” good. You can tell it’s an old school spot with a traditional kitchen that knows what it’s doing. I see why they’ve had the Michelin signage out front for the last three years. It makes sense once the food hits the table. Prices are super fair, especially compared to a lot of places on the island. Portions are big too, so you’re not leaving hungry or feeling like you paid fine dining prices for snack sizes. They even had UFC on while we were eating, which somehow made the whole experience even better. Great food and fight night energy. And their omelette? Gas. Absolute gas. Would come back for that alone. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Samui. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
