Our law firm celebrated our office christmas lunch at the Kickapoo Tea Room in Downs, IL. It was absolutely beautiful inside, and the food was delicious! We were all so happy and thinking about who we are going to bring from our personal lives to this amazing place! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice venue, but food was just mediocre compared to other tearooms I’ve been to. The salad was the best thing of my choices for the 3 tiers. The Rubie sandwich was like a sliced deli meat and rather messy to eat. The beignets were not light and fluffy, but more dense like a jelly filled donut with frosting on top. My lunch with iced tea and tip was over $32, which was a little expensive for a lunch considering the portion sizes.
