This cafe was like a warm hug from home as an American traveler longing for some simple but delicious comfort food after a week of Japanese cuisine. The owner is so kind and hospitable and the cafe atmosphere is cute and cozy. The coffee was amazing and so was the daily breakfast special. So good we came back a second time! Honestly, the most satisfying meal and coffee we had during our time in Kyoto. I can’t recommend enough! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The coffee and buttered toast were both so good that my wife and I came here every morning we had in Kyoto. The wonderful lady that served us greeted us with a smile and gave us a heartfelt bow and wave on our way out. We had to buy some beans to take home so we could sip on a fresh cup and remember one of our favorite parts of our stay in Kyoto.
