We have been seeing great advertisement and media coverage about Kiro Seafood Buffet. They were advertising large selection of food options and a large customizable hibachi bar. So, we were excited to come and enjoy a meal there. We know not to come close to closing time. Therefore, we went almost 2 hours before closing which was 8:09 p.m. When we got there, we were greeted right away and seated. We made our drink orders and headed out in anticipated to see what was advertised. However to our dismay the food did not look appetizing and looked like it has been sitting out. Even so, we gave it a shot and to our disappointment it was not warm and some even being cold. We were thinking maybe they just need to replenished it and were in the process of doing so. Unfortunately, from the time we first entered the food selection area till dessert they barely bought out new items. It was literally a handful of items were replenished barely halfway of the pan like stir fried squid, a few extra pieces each time of snow crab legs, steam fish, and the sushi area. Other than those item all selections were left with what it started with from the time we ate our first plate to the last. If items ran out it stayed empty. We were extremely underwhelmed for overhyped post. Even as we were let down on the food selection, we got up and still try to look on the bright side about the dessert selection. The dessert selectiom had plenty of good looking options of cakes, cookies, ice creams, fruits, jello, and pastries. As we were getting and talking about the dessert, we got excited again. As we were walking back to our seat, the bill was set there on our table. We thought, "oh they probably thought we were done." We sat down ourselves down with our dessert and put our credit card on the bill plate. They scan it right away and brought it back to us. It was barely anytime literally like 2 to 3 mins after. They asked us to sign the credit card receipt. I asked what time does the restaurant close she said confidently 10 p.m. Therefore, I asked my husband what time is it right now as I fear maybe they were almost closing. My husband tell me it is 9:15 p.m. The waitress still waiting there, I tell her its still 45 mins till closing. She proceeds to tell me. We can still eat but we need to close out tickets now. We gave her the receipt still in shock and still trying to process the situation. After she took the signed receipt, we sat there uncomfortable and unable to even eat our dessert that we were looking forward to. We decided to not eat the dessert and leave. But something in me didn't feel like this was right. I decided to talk to the manager Howie and he also stated the same sentiments. I let him know that we felt rushed, uncomfortable, disgarded, and disrespected. As we still had 45 minutes before closing and we felt he was gaslighting us. In addtion, we were going to take back our 20% tip. However, we have worked in the service industry and know how hard it is. Tips are the service industries livelihood. Therefore, we left the tip and let the manager know that we will not punish the staff for his wrongdoings. However, I am not here to bash the place. The environment and design were beautifully done. The hibachi bar, sushi area, and dessert area had a good amount of food. The staff was efficient. I can't get myself to ever recommend or come back to this establishment. Because the food and experience was horrible. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Vegetarian options: Kiro Seafood Buffet advertises themselves as a seafood restaurant. However, the selection of seafood was not great as it was hyped up to be. It was a weekend dinner and so it should have quality options but it was mediocre options. The three seafood items that were replenished were the only ones warm. Other than that, the items were cold or room temperature. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot
