I travel a lot in the state and BBQ is my go-to meal. I have been to about 50 joints in NC. I went to Knucklehead BBQ in Mebane on 6-12-26 at about 4p and had the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had. Perfect char on some pieces, excellent seasoning, just enough fat so not dry, and the house sauce... perfect. Mashed sweet potato side was tasty and a good portion size. They even have a meal deal if you go just before the prime dinner rush. Service was excellent as were the prices. Clean premises and clean bathrooms. I highly recommend this place. I rarely do reviews but here I am so there you go.. and I hope you do! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Turkey and brisket were absolutely phenomenal. Everyone here is super friendly and welcoming. I’m not in Mebane frequently but I’ll certainly be making a trip back to visit knuckleheads Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Everything was great. Best chicken I've had since Smokey's shut down. Turkey was up to expectations. Tried the burnt ends sausage, spicy. I'd have it again though. Collards and slaw were both good. None of it too sweet. GF like the beans and was meh on the succotash, but that was the heat not the dish (she's a mild fan) It's the real deal. Would recommend. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
