What a gem of of place! I almost didn't want to make a review to keep this place under the radar. Almost the antithese of Japanese fine dining with precious portions and elaborate plating. Koide-san feeds you generous slices of sashimi, colossal crustaceans, fist-sized fried puffer fish, heaving platters of tempura, and finished you off with whole sides of fish in different ways. Prepare to roll out fully satiated. Not cheap but you won't feel short changed. Not much English was spoken, but gestures and the universal language of good food is more than sufficient. Koide-san may look stern but he and his wife couldn't be more warm and welcoming to my family. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
