hoooooly all the food was SOOOOOO GOOD!!! every single bite was met with pure joy... so so so so so tasty. the service was unmatched- so friendly and attentive!!! it was like they could read my mind and knew what i needed before i asked. but honestly even if the service was bad i wouldnt care because the chef's talent is absolutely INSANE. the food... omg...... i cannot emphasize how YUMMY everything was. everything from the drinks to the desserts were so delicious. also everything is very fairly priced! my partner and i got the tasting course for $45 per person. with drinks our total came out to be around $120 without tip. when i left i had to unzip my pants because i was sooooo full. so worth the money!!! thank you guys so much and see you again soon! I'm not really sure why Kokkaku has 4 stars. The service is okay. The food is meh - maybe okay. The restaurant ventilation is awful - be warned, you will smell seared. The American wagyu was super tough; took me forever and a day to chew through. The shrimp cocktail, wings, and edamame were fine - small and unimpressive. The assorted vegetables was an absolute joke. There was an empty bone marrow bone in the middle of largely cut vegetables. Why? Will I come back? For what? Absolutely not.
