Great first visit! We had the sampler plate, Honduran tamales, Peruvian chicken, and Venezuelan arepas, and it was all very good! We'll definitely be back.

I'm guessing they are closed and haven't updated their business hours which is quite unprofessional... Or out of business one of the other... But don't be on yelp and have your hours as open when y'all are actually closed... Really disappointed.

I have avoided posting this, it hurts to say, but Komal isn't my go-to steak place any more. I still stand by their cocktails and small plates! Sometimes places cycle, sourcing or staff, it happens for whatever reason. The first knell, my steak was overdone by even my dad's standards--I prefer medium rare, but I'm not über fussy because I don't like wasting food, meat most of all. Came back with spouse and both our steaks were overcooked. Came back again and when they didn't have the steak I wanted ready they offered me a filet at the same price. It wasn't overcooked, but I'd also testify it wasn't a filet. It was beef, but it fought my fork like Emile Griffith. This was all over many weeks, maybe a couple months. It might be I'm visiting earlier in the day, different cook, I don't know. As I said, I still come here happy hour and enjoy their drinks (mojitos and mules are our faves here), starters, specialties--recommend the baleada, papa loca (add veggies, omg), queso, pupusas, pastelitos.... The staff have always been very kind to me. I just don't get steaks now. I'll let time pass and try again in the future.
