The interior of Kon'ya Japan
"Kon’ya (今夜) means “tonight.” A time to gather, to slow down, and to share good food with good company. Inspired by the warmth and spirit of Japanese matsuri festivals, Kon’ya was created to bring people together through honest hospitality, comforting Japanese cuisine, and memorable evenings shared around the table. From lantern-lit nights to small thoughtful details, everything we do is meant to create a place that feels welcoming, lively, and familiar — whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. Tonight is about more than a meal. It’s about connection, comfort, and enjoying the moment together. See you tonight."

Tried this new Japanese spot in the NW and everything we ordered was so good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out fresh and nicely presented. The tempura was super crisp, the fries were surprisingly addictive, and the sushi pieces were thick and satisfying. The beef sukiyaki udon was warm and comforting, especially on a colder day. We also loved the agedashi tofu — soft, silky, and full of flavour. Finished the meal with their chocolate ice cream which was the perfect sweet ending. Definitely a place we’d come back to! Delux sushi you can ask to get your amaebi sweet prawn head fried to eat later! The complimentary softserve vanilla icecream!!~~ Am soo glad the server recommended to get an ice cream! It reminded me of Ikea softserve a bit! Aaand the soft serve icecream went all the way to the end of cone bottom!! Definitely coming back for more soft serve! to the server who was very helpful, he was great at answering questions I had of sushi pizza (what they added and how they made theirs) I have had better Agedashi Tofu.. but maybe to some people it is fine..‍ The sakura cola.. looked cute.. tried it.. nice and floral.. would of been maybe yummier if it paired/ mixed with another drink? Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$50–60
