I wanted to eat Korean food with my friend. We had already decided to order japchae and bibimbap. However, the restaurant we originally planned to visit was closed, so we decided to eat here instead. On the menu, it said “pibimu yakimeshi,” so we wanted to confirm whether it was the same as bibimbap. Instead of answering our question, the lady told us that this was an original Korean restaurant and recommended grilled pork with garlic. We explained again that we wanted japchae and bibimbap. After that, her attitude toward us became unpleasant and unfriendly. She then spoke to the cook, who seemed to be her mother, in an annoyed tone because we did not want the recommended dish. We ordered one japchae and two pibimu dishes, but only one pibimu arrived. At first, we thought the other one was still being prepared separately. However, even after I finished eating the japchae, the second pibimu never came. Since my mood was already ruined, I decided to just pay and leave. When we were about to pay, the lady finally realized the mistake. She apologized, which I appreciated, and informed her mother. However, instead of apologizing, the mother complained that we did not order the restaurant’s recommended food. The place was noisy, the cook kept shouting loudly, and the environment was dirty, dusty, and greasy. It was impossible to relax and enjoy the food or drinks. I also noticed that customers who ordered the recommended dishes were treated very warmly and were even escorted to the door after their meal. Even when we first entered the restaurant, despite there being many empty counter seats, the lady asked her mother if it was okay for two people to enter. At first, we tried to think positively about it, but unfortunately we were wrong. I honestly do not understand how this place has such good reviews. Bad experience.
