They have a large selection of drinks it was hard to choose I opted for a monthly special called Matcha Dream. A bit on the sweeter side but the espresso flavor bringing a good balance to the vanilla, strawberry and matcha flavors. Service was nice and my order came out pretty quickly. The cafe feels very open and bright. Overall good experience I will be returning to try their other drinks they have to offer.

I really wanted to like The Korean Rose but somehow the drinks fell short of my expectations. First of all, I really like their branding and the appearance of their drinks, which made me want to come here in the first place. Secondly, they are at a great location - just across from Taegukgi "TGG" KBBQ, just around the corner from Zion Market on Convoy St and Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego. Here are a couple drinks we ordered: * The Korean Rose - This was their signature drink. It looked beautiful with its attractive purple and magenta colors. The taste, however, was way too sweet. * Taro slush - Not pretty but a safe bet, I thought. Like The Korean Rose, however, this drink was also sweet even at a 25% sweetness level. The service was decent with a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, The Korean Rose has a cute logo. Maybe we just ordered the wrong drinks. I was probably expecting more from a signature drink.

I stopped by the Korean Rose for a sweet treat on Saturday after having some delicous Korean BBQ at Taegukgi. Upon first glance it is a very cute shop that would probably be a good study/ work spot. They have a good amount of seating which is really great. Their interior has such a cute light up sign of a rose and is definitely eye catching especially if you are passing by at night. They have a wide variety of drink choices and a couple of food options which makes this the perfect place to get a treat throughout the day. The service here was also very friendly and welcoming which I loved. As for the drinks, I got the Strawberry Smoothie with Strawberry popping boba. This was a delicous combination and choosing popping boba was the right choice. The smoothie was the right amount of sweetness and was very satisfying after the meal we had prior. I can't wait to be back in the area to try more of their drinks.
