We made a reservation and visited this restaurant after being introduced by someone from Himi City, Toyama Prefecture. From the exterior to the interior and even the kitchen, the atmosphere of a sumo stable's staff meal really lifts your spirits. First, since there were three of us, we ordered two servings of the salt-based chanko stew. The cucumber with sumo wrestler's miso was delicious! The miso with small fish was fantastic, simply the best! The special fried chicken was juicy, and I could imagine sumo wrestlers enjoying it. The chanko stew is carefully prepared by the staff. The soup is delicious! Light, no, rich, a soup you can easily drink down! The tender cabbage is so good you can eat it all! The meatballs and chicken thighs are also great! We finished with champon noodles! A chanko restaurant run by Mr. Kotogaume, a former sekiwake from Toyama Prefecture. The crystal hot pot is absolutely delicious. The a la carte dishes are delicious, and Toyama's local sake is also delicious. There was also a picture of Kotogaume when he won against Chiyonofuji when he was active. I also had the chance to talk with Kotogaume-san and take some photos. I'm going to go eat again from Toyama.
