A truly stunning bar. Sitting in this beautiful room was just the perfect beginning of our trip to Vienna. A speakeasy cocktail bar located in nothern part of city center. You don’t stumble upon it easily because the entrance is very discreet. Even though I had the address, I was actually unsure whether we were in the right place. The bar itself is, as the name suggests, located down in a krypt, so from the main entrance at street level you go “underground,” where you’re met by a beautifully raw yet very classy bar. We were served a Whiskey Sour and an Espresso Martini, both of which were just slightly short of hitting the mark. The bartenders were clearly overstretched trying to serve cocktails to several large groups, which unfortunately resulted in quite a bit of waiting time. But the staff were generally very friendly, and I would definitely recommend others stop by Krypt. Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
