Great chinese food. Taste is incredible and is the service is on par. Portion sizes are generous and speciality items are available. The Beijing Duck was great and so were the Schezwan beef buns. Definitely a must try place and worth it to visit repeatedly. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: OMR 6–8 Vegetarian options: Plenty of options available.

As part of our monthly dine-out tradition, my friend and I were undecided about where to go. She suddenly suggested Kung Fu Restaurant, a place she had been mentioning for quite some time. Every time we planned to visit, we ended up choosing somewhere else and later saying, “We could have gone to Kung Fu!” So, we finally decided to give it a try today. Interestingly, one of my colleagues had also recommended that I visit at least once, which made me even more curious. Since it was our first visit, neither of us knew what to order. We initially wanted to try a fish dish, but after discussing with the staff and taking their recommendations, we ordered Chicken Shaomai, Chicken Fried Rice, and Chicken Hunan. I must say, the portion sizes were more than sufficient for two people, and all three dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and satisfying. Although the restaurant is relatively small in terms of space, the ambiance is calm, quiet, and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to dine. The food is definitely worth the price, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. Overall, our bill came to OMR 12.080, including a bottle of water. It was a great dining experience, and I’m glad we finally decided to visit. Kung Fu Restaurant is one of the notable Chinese dining spots in Muscat for visitors looking for authentic-style Chinese flavors in a comfortable and relaxed setting. The restaurant offers a calm dine-in atmosphere with modern Asian-inspired interior décor, making it suitable for families, casual dinners, small gatherings, and people craving traditional Chinese dishes beyond the usual fast-food style options. One of the standout items here appears to be the Cantonese Crispy Duck, which is frequently mentioned and visually looks well-prepared with crispy skin and rich flavor. The menu also includes a variety of stir-fried dishes, noodles, rice options, hot pots, seafood, and vegetable dishes, giving visitors a broad selection depending on their taste preferences. Portions are generally good for sharing, especially for families or groups ordering multiple dishes together. The atmosphere inside is relatively quiet and comfortable compared to louder casual dining restaurants, making it a good option for relaxed meals and conversations. Presentation of dishes is also noticeably appealing, especially for dine-in customers. Things visitors should know before visiting: • Recommended for dine-in if you want the full experience and freshly prepared dishes. • The restaurant is suitable for families, couples, and small groups. • Some dishes may take longer during busy hours because many items are freshly cooked. • If you are unfamiliar with Chinese cuisine, it’s better to ask staff for recommendations based on spice level and portion size. • Cantonese Crispy Duck appears to be one of the signature dishes worth trying. • Parking availability may vary depending on peak dining times and nearby activity. • Prices are moderate for Muscat standards and reasonable considering portion size and food quality. • Spice levels and flavors may differ from typical Indo-Chinese restaurants, giving a more authentic Chinese-style experience. • Good option for people looking for something different from common fast-food chains or generic Asian menus. What visitors should consider: • Some authentic dishes may feel oily or strongly flavored for people used to lighter cuisine. • Peak dinner hours can become busy, especially on weekends. • Sharing dishes works best here rather than ordering individually if dining in a group. • If you prefer very quiet dining, avoid peak meal times. • Menu variety is wide, so first-time visitors may need a few minutes to explore options properly. Overall, Kung Fu Restaurant offers a pleasant Chinese dining experience in Muscat with flavorful dishes, comfortable seating, and a balanced atmosphere. It’s especially recommended for visitors who enjoy authentic Chinese-style cooking, crispy duck specialties, stir-fried dishes, and family-style sharing meals in a relaxed environment.
