Unfortunately, my experience at Kunimi was disappointing. While the view was pretty (you can see both Tokyo Skytree and Mt. Fuji), it did not make up for the poor quality of the food and poor service. This was supposed to be a kaiseki dinner, yet none of the dishes were explained to us. Each course was placed on the table without any description of the ingredients or preparation. As a result, I had no idea what I ate. Also, our water glasses sat empty for long periods of time and it took a long long time for each dish to be served. For a bill of approximately ¥40,000 for three people, I expected more. The food itself was underwhelming and lacked flavor. I have been to other kaiseki / omakase restaurants, and compared to those, this was very underwhelming.
