Not only should Taimei Elementary School be visited, but also Kuri. The atmosphere of hospitality of this bar highly depends on the staff, that is cheerful here. Many reviewers mention that the service is decent. At Kuri, guests can enjoy the calm atmosphere. 4.1 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

Super cool Sake spot! Very authentic and extremely friendly. Bring Google translator, as the menu is Japanese only and the owner (a super nice guy) doesn’t speak English. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Have to give this place 5 stars to balance the misinformed 1 star reviews by people who didn’t even make it into the restaurant.I’ve experienced similar treatment at other bars in Japan before, but after doing some research, it’s clear that bars here will not seat people if they have upcoming reservations for their tables. I’m not sure if other reviewers speak Japanese or not, but restaurants have often clarified with me that even though they are “empty”, tables will be full within the hour and it’s much more awkward culturally to ask a sitting party to leave than to simply refuse to seat them outright. Language barriers may have prevented the bar operators from explaining this.Popular places like Kuri require reservations if you want to be sure to get a seat. It’s definitely worth it.
