Tonkatsu was good, but long wait. Honestly I don't understand the hype of kurabuta pork, as it was superior to other top tonkatsu restaurants in Japan. Delicious nevertheless Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000

Quick, efficient and above all very delicious. Precise frying for a very subtle taste nd the best pork we tried so far. Service very good and all in all one of the best restaurants around. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I visited Kuroda because they had great reviews and was pleased to find that those high reviews were deserved. As I read that this restaurant can get busy after 6pm, I arrived just before 5:30pm to find that they were already open with only a couple other customers inside. I was able to walk in and select my meal with the ticket machine. The restaurant has an English guide posted next to the machine which made everything easy. The staff immediately greeted me when I walked in and displayed a very happy, pleasant, attitude. The open kitchen concept was neat as I was able to watch some of the work being performed to prepare the meal. The atmosphere was pleasant with some modern pop music playing at a low volume. The restaurant was very clean and all necessities are available at each seat. I ordered the Pork Cutlet Meal Set as my primary goal was to eat some delicious Tonkatsu. I did view other patrons getting the Mix Set and that looked delicious as well. My Tonkatsu was delicious. I'm by no means an expert, but I would find it hard to believe that there are many restaurants out there that can make it better. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
