The were very nice to us, the place is a bit small and they might reject you if it’s full, don’t take it personally. They are very welcoming to foreign tourists and they gifted us some dessert after the meal. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We did an overnight visit to Kyoto towards the end of our Tokyo trip, and we're so glad we found Kyochan! Tucked down a side road next to our hotel, this place is super small and quiet, and has amazing okonomiyaki. We ordered the Beta (sliced pork, soba noodles) and the Yakisoba (squid), and it tasted like a home cooked meal. Highly recommended for 2-4 people (each table sits 4 at most), there is an English menu, and the owner is superbly sweet and helpful. And definitely get the mayonnaise added!
