My family and I visited LA Café for the first time this weekend and we had a really lovely experience, overall. The prices are definitely higher than your average cafe, but I will say that the quality of both the food and service speaks for itself, so I can understand why. We were recommended the iced tea and I’m SO glad we went for it because it was delicious! The perfect balance of sweet and citrusy, with a lovely white peach flavour running through it. Honestly, I could have had another one. For food, I ordered the Grand Breakfast, while my brother and mum ordered the Signature Breakfast and the Smoked Kippers & Eggs. Everyone was really happy with their meals. I enjoyed mine a lot and the quality of the sausages, hash browns and bacon was particularly impressive. My only personal criticism was the eggs, which were a little too truffle-heavy and rich for my taste. But that’s purely down to personal preference! The decor is quite basic and the cafe itself is very small, with what looks like an even smaller kitchen. Apparently, this place is always busy and after experiencing the food and service, I can definitely see why. I’d honestly come back for the iced tea alone! I’m not sure I’d rush back for another breakfast, but that’s more because of my personal taste than the quality of the food. However, my family said they would definitely return — so I’d say go and make up your own mind! Landed all the way from India to this delightful cafe! Unmatchable cuisines, Ankur’s personal touch with the preparation sets standards for London cafés to match! Delightful experience! Easily the best food we had in our 2 week trip!
