[Visited 5/1/2026 for dinner] Let me start with a warning; the posted hours for this establishment appear to be "suggestions." We tried to come for lunch, but it wasn't open when the sign said it was, then when we passed by 45 minutes later it was opened, only to close an hour before the posted end of lunch. Dinner was much the same experience, when we came by to see if it was open 5 minutes after the sign said it would the place was dark. We wandered off and had no luck with other places and just happened to pass by 90 minutes later to find it was open but empty. I was a bit annoyed, but hey, finding places that serve Mexican food in Japan is like finding hen with teeth. I'm glad it was open and that we went in. The food was excellent. Was it strictly Mexican authentic? No. But close enough. Enchilada and nachos were both great. The free bean soup was tasty. Portions were generous. The price was low for the area. I LOVE this place. I’ve been going to La Yuuki for over 15 years. It’s the best Mexican food in Japan. I’ve had Mexican food in other cities in Japan, and nothing compares to here. This is hands down the best food in Toyama, and pretty much all of Japan. Drinks are very delicious. The food is so authentic. The owner is the nicest man. You will never go wrong eating here.
