A MICHELIN star: cuisine of great finesse. Worth the step!

Applying experience in Paris and Copenhagen, the chef layers Scandinavian innovation on top of Japanese ingredients and the French classics. One embodiment of these influences is the foie gras torchon, an encounter between Kakegawa tea from the chef’s hometown and foie gras. Mushrooms delivered from producers in Shizuoka Prefecture are fermented and made into a soup... More info

We visited as a group of six and had an exceptional experience. I had arranged a vegan meal in advance for myself and a meal without eggs or dairy for my son. When we arrived, two of our friends mentioned they were pescatarian (without prior notice), and the team kindly accommodated them without any hesitation. What impressed us even more was their flexibility and attentiveness. My son didn’t want few dishes without even trying, and they immediately replaced them with vegan alternatives, which he absolutely loved. They also graciously adjusted a dish for another child at our table. The staff were incredibly kind, polite, and genuinely accommodating, everything felt effortless. And the food was simply outstanding, truly beyond expectations. Even my husband, who usually doesn’t enjoy Michelin-star restaurants, loved every dish. It was one of those rare dining experiences where everyone at the table was genuinely happy. I would absolutely return and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The quality of the food reminded us of the best Michelin-star experiences in Europe years ago, refined, generous, and truly delicious. Nowadays in Europe it is impossible to find such good Michelin star restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had high expectations for this restaurant as a connoisseur friend recommended it when he dined at the Ginza location before it moved. I wanted to like it. But the food was okay. Not great, not bad. The panca and lobster were the better dishes. Mushroom soup was too salty and fish was overcooked. Chef was adorable and down to earth. The sommelier needed to improve his etiquette. When he poured the wine, it dripped down along the bottle, and he actually wiped it off with his hand. And the pairing was so so. Lighting was too bright and basically killed the ambience. I experienced a Michelin star restaurant for the first time through a friend's introduction. The French I've eaten so far hasn't been French at all! If I think that Mr. L'Argent's French will become my standard, I think it will be difficult from now on! It was a very fulfilling time spent in a very delicious and nice atmosphere! I would like to use it again for anniversaries, etc. thank you very much! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
