Decent bistro - had dinner here our first night in Paris. Food was pretty average to be honest. There are a ton of restaurants on the same street - check out the other ones / use this as a fallback to be honest.

My wife and I found this charming place on our second to last night in Paris. We enjoyed our experience so much we went back for our last night too. The food was great. The chicken pasta and beef tartare were especially delicious. Give yourself time to not only eat the main dishes, but to also have a board of cheese and bottle of wine. You won’t regret it. We loved the atmosphere and hospitality. The staff made you feel like you were eating dinner in their home. Julian and David in particular helpful, funny, and attentive. Price was reasonable and much better than restaurants in busier parts of the city outside of Rue Cler. We’re already planning on coming here our next time in Paris. This was an absolutely superb find. We were visiting Paris to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special for our celebratory meal. We had done some research online before arriving and had shortlisted a few restaurants in the area, all which looked really nice. Many of the more formal restaurants just felt a little soulless and we wanted to make this a special event. After walking past L'Eclair we were drawn in by it's very warm and quirky decor. We decided to go for drinks the night before our anniversary and were smitten by the whole experience. We had a great night, sampling their cocktails and sharing a superb platter of snacks. The staff were excellent and the place had a really vibrant atmosphere so we decided to book a table for the following night to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived the following night a were very warmly welcomed and shown to our table which we had chosen the night before, sat under the 'parrot'. Again the atmosphere was very warm, friendly and vibrant. The food is superb. The menu is relatively small, which is good as they can ensure that everything is cooked to perfection, but there is enough choice to satisfy everyone. We started off with snails (which my wife hadn't tried before) and smoked salmon. for main we had steak tartare and marinated chicken, both superb, then finished with a beautiful cheesecake and an absolutely gorgeous chocolate dessert. The whole night was faultless, the service, the food, the drink and the atmosphere. I would not hesitate to revisit this little gem of a bistro the next time we are in Paris and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
