RESTAURANT L ESPELETTE in Reims is a fantastic place to experience the flavors of the Basque Country. The decor is bright and colorful, with chilies hanging everywhere, transporting you to Spain. The menu is varied, with plenty of tapas dishes, burgers and chicken dishes, as well as Basque specialties like Axoa (veal with Espelette pepper and bell pepper). The mojitos are good, and there is a good selection of French and Spanish wines to pair with the food. The staff are friendly and helpful, even if you don't speak French. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The ice cream sundaes are a nice way to finish off the meal. We had a great experience here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.
