A thoroughly enjoyable dinner at L'Évadé, offering a well crafted menu in a lovely, relaxed setting. The meal started on a wonderful note with a delightful pre starter. It featured a refined, silky pea purée with delicate flavours, served alongside warm, fresh bread nicely soaked in olive oil. From there, the starters continued with great technique. We enjoyed a fresh, vibrant tartare accented with sharp, fruity notes, as well as a delicate, flaky pastry tart topped with warm golden tomatoes and creamy burrata. For the main course, the sliced duck breast was beautifully cooked and paired with a rich, glossy reduction, smooth carrot purée, and roasted baby carrots. The Louise Brison Champagne selected from the wine list was crisp, refreshing, and complemented the dishes smoothly. Dessert was equally vibrant, featuring a light mousse paired with fresh berries, meringue crisps, and a bright sorbet, followed by sweet little choux bites to finish. Overall, it was a very solid, pleasant dining experience with friendly, attentive service and lovely flavours throughout. Well worth a visit if you are exploring the 9th arrondissement.
