Having come to spend a family weekend in Troyes, we dined at l'illustre on the first evening quite by chance. Chance and this first experience having done things well, we returned there because we liked it so much. Nice setting, large restaurant but without feeling like a factory, attentive and responsive service, good value for money. We recommend the children's menu (simple and good, minced steak and homemade fries with unlimited ketchup), the sliced steak and the andouillette with old-fashioned mustard sauce. Also note that the restaurant offers nice 37 cl bottles of wine, impeccable for reasonable couples. We recommend this address.
