Michelin selection.
Good standard.

More info

Meal at lunchtime, I took the set menu of the day and I enjoyed it! Everything was fresh, very tasty and perfectly seasoned. In addition, the portions are very correct for this quality. Top-notch setting and welcome as well.

Very disappointed!! After an oyster in jelly accompanied by its mini-macaroon with foie gras then a pepper sorbet followed by three scallops which met our expectations of taste discoveries with friends, an unlimited cheese platter was presented to us before dessert. In summary, given the waiter's insistence on offering as many pieces of cheese as possible, we understand that the platter was in fact the main course, but the latter has nothing gourmet and the "all you can eat" or the date of 01 /01/2024 certainly do not justify the €95 requested for the meal.

Dear Nathalie, We wanted to respond to you in order to shed light on your experience within our …Dear Nathalie, We wanted to respond to you in order to shed light on your experience within our establishment during lunch on January 1, 2024. Please know that we have taken your comments into consideration with our room manager, our receptionist and finally with the chef who came to meet you when you left the restaurant. We would like to apologize to you once again for the inconvenience regarding your experience which did not meet your expectations. And we can understand that these may differ from our culinary proposals. However, it is important to note that our menu is carefully crafted to provide a refined and balanced dining experience. I would also like to remind that the chef had prepared a special menu to celebrate the new year. The chef offered you a duo of savory reductions (oyster in mushroom jelly and foie gras macaroon) which would whet the appetite of the entire table and accompany an aperitif, then he offered you a pepper sorbet accompanied by a fennel confit with orange and its fennel emulsion. The main course was by no means cheese but rather scallops served in threes, accompanied by truffle mashed potatoes, potato emulsion and pan-fried shiitake mushrooms. Our room manager has served you a set of cheeses from our barrel of aged cheeses. A service that you judged to be obviously too generous but for which we did not receive any particular comments from the rest of our customers, which numbered more than thirty people that day. And finally, the chef served you the chocolate shell, vanilla cream, mango compote, coconut emulsion and passion fruit sorbet. The Chef considered this sufficient given the context of the new year, he wanted to offer a lighter menu, as he does every year. We understand that you would have liked a meat-based main course, but our choice this year fell on Saint Jacques in order to offer a different dish from that offered last year. Please note that we constantly strive to present a creative, tasty and constantly evolving menu with the seasons, but we regret that this did not meet your expectations. On behalf of the entire team at the restaurant l’Insolite, we wish you, all the same, a very happy new year ahead, Unusually, Mr Ruscart, ManagerMore
