JP's Roti House is a true gem in the culinary scene! Our recent dining experience here left us utterly satisfied and eager for more. The flavours, oh, the flavours! They hit every mark, leaving our taste buds dancing with delight. Let's talk about the Doubles - soft, fluffy, and bursting with traditional spices, they were a perfect start to our meal. The Pholouries followed suit, crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and paired beautifully with the tangy tamarind sauce. And the Cassava was pure perfection, with the soft, chewy texture of cassava perfectly complementing the hearty fillings. Moving on to the mains, the Salt Fish & Bakes were a delightful nod to Caribbean cuisine, with the bakes being perfectly fluffy and the salt fish offering a punch of flavour. The Casareep Chicken with Chow Mein Noodles was a delightful surprise, with tender chicken coated in a luscious sauce that perfectly complemented the savoury noodles. The Curry Shrimp lacked a certain flavour element; it didn't possess the same richness as the other dishes. I believe it would have benefited from a frying process to enhance its flavour profile. The dish seemed to be overwhelmed by the abundance of curry, with potatoes immersed in a curry-infused broth. Now, let's talk about the stars of the show - the Rotis. The Jerk Chicken Roti was a fiery explosion of flavour, with tender chicken infused with the smoky, spicy goodness of jerk seasoning. The Boneless Chicken Curry Roti was a symphony of spices, with tender chicken enveloped in a rich, aromatic curry sauce. Overall, JP's Roti exceeded our expectations in every way. From the warm hospitality to the sensational flavours, this place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Caribbean cuisine. We'll definitely be back for more! This is the best Roti I have ever had. The shop owner is incredibly kind and makes the experience feel like you're eating at a friend's home. The doubles are also amazing!
