My wife and I have had Indian all over the US and I've eaten it in 9 countries. Two things are apparent as you walk in, the stellar cleanliness of the restaurant and the waves of aroma coming from the kitchen. The staff were all friendly and attentive during our first visit. Wife got paneer tikka mild and I got lamb tikka med; with butter & garlic naan. The obvious care poured into each bite, was a welcomed surprise for an incidental date night with little research. After we finished, the chef came out to ensure he knew how we liked the food. And you could see how naturally excited he was as he talked of his passion more and more. We live in Augusta, but will be driving here regularly just for the kids parks, a Greek place we know, and now, Lota is a staple. If youre new to Indian cuisine or grew up eating it, this place will give your soul a sigh of relief.
