Food was delicious and service was good but I don’t think I can go back because of the size and volume of the restaurant. It feels super claustrophobic in there and I was trying to have a conversation with my table and it was very difficult. If that’s your kind of thing or you don’t mind a loud space, this place is for you! I had the lobster gnocchi, margherita pinsa, and tiramisu and they were all fabulous! Pasta was cooked well, lobster was tender, and the pinsa was nice and crispy. Overall a very pleasant experience. Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Luce is a wonderful hidden gem in downtown Norfolk. My wife and I went here for my birthday after a recommendation from our hotel staff. It is a short walk from the Riverside. We did not have a reservation, having just arrived to the city, however I would recommend making one ahead of your visit. We arrived when they opened at 1645 and were seated at the very back, the last tall 2-seater table, by the kitchen. It was great to be seated so close the kitchen and watch them cook! Our server, Tracy, was fantastic. She engaged us from the start and took her time explaining everything on the menu, even taking time with our questions. I had the Vitello Di Sogni, which I HIGHLY recommend! The flavor is amazing and my wife said that she wished she had ordered it after a taste. Save room for dessert - the rum cake and mini cannoli are delicious! Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

My girlfriends and I celebrated a birthday dinner here and we all loved it! We had calamari, a raw tuna appetizer dish, Cesar salad with steak, wild boar ragu, lobster prosecco gnocchi, and I took the margarita pizza to go! I had the Persephone to drink, which was a nice accompaniment to my dish. I would definitely recommend for an intimate dinner setting. Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
