A local attraction - Esther Short Park, that is situated beside this confectionary restaurant, is a part of the authentic culture of this city. Serving nicely cooked cheese salads, grilled chicken and tomato basil soup is the feature of Luxe. You can share tasty belgian waffles, pancakes and cheesecakes with your friends and spend a good time here. Most likely, you'll come back to this place later to taste delicious Mimosas, beer or wine. After a long working week, you can try good espresso, tea or latte.

This spot is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are attractive. There is a pleasant atmosphere and divine decor at this confectionary restaurant. But Luxe hasn't got a high Zomato rating that displays that this place has something to improve.

Sad to hear about this place closing, I love the simple yet sophisticated menu. I have literally never gotten something I didn't like. Their cocktails are a delicious treat as well! ;) the staff is always very friendly. I hope they relocate to where their restaurant will thrive because this is a hidden jem!

I have been a loyal Luxe customer since day one. I am happy with how they have expanded their brunch menu and hours. This is my boyfriend and I's favorite brunch spot in Vancouver! However lately, our last 5 or so visits there had been at least one thing that went wrong... A few weeks ago, I ordered a new brunch item. I believe it was the chicken, biscuit and gravy sandwich. Sounded so good and looked good too! A very generous serving! The first bite I took, the biscuit was ice cold. Like taken out of the fridge and thrown on the plate. I found it odd since all the other items were hot... Our next visit, I ordered the same thing again. I wanted to give them another chance. This time not only was the biscuit cold, but so was the gravy. I should note that we came in both times on Saturday at peak brunch time. So it wasn't like they were running out of food or whatever reason. Another issue at that visit was the staff... since I have been a luxe customer since day one, I know the staff has been consistently changing. While we were eating, the staff was gossiping with another table (which was other Luxe staff visiting for brunch on their day off). I know this because they were complaining of staffing changes and then were taking about how they all went out the night before and got wasted. Our waitress then said she was hungover to that table and was going on and on about the night before. All of that was going on while I was eating my cold breakfast, not happy. Our most recent visit was yesterday, so a Friday afternoon. Not our usual time we visit, but we wanted brunch. Our waiter was super friendly and did a great job, even though he took my order wrong and brought me out the wrong thing... mistakes happen, no big deal! He corrected it and brought me my order. And guess what?! COLD! I just don't get it. The potatoes were ice cold and maybe 1/3 of what I usually get. Which was fine since I didn't eat them since they were cold. I'd say the worst thing that happened during the visit was the waitress. She was gossiping to our waiter about a group of teenage girls that was seated outside. She said loud and clear so most the restaurant could hear "My table out on the patio probably won't tip since they are teenage girls using mommy or daddy's card." I was shocked at what I heard, even if it's true, don't announce it to the restaurant. But she wasn't done talking smack. She had gone out and brought them dessert (we were seated by the window) and something had happened out there. She didn't bring enough spoons or something, idk. But she came in and vented to our waiter right in front of us and was saying bad things about those girls. So unprofessional and so uncomfortable, I was shocked. My boyfriend and I looked at each other in disbelief. Then all of a sudden, the kitchen (which we were seated next to), started playing music super loud. Now Luxe already plays their own music through the restaurant... so this was louder music on top of it. It kept going and going... I am so disappointed and shocked at just how bad Luxe has become. It seems each visit gets worse and worse. I hope the manager reads these reviews and takes serious action. I would tell all my friends and family to come to Luxe and now with the experiences I've had, I can't do that anymore. I'm so sad this restaurant has taken a turn for the worst.

We give this a DAVLIN rating of (0-30 possible score) Food-22 Service-16 Decor-16. Sitting here at the restaurant as I write this. We ordered the Chicken, Biscuit, Egg, Bacon sandwich covered in Gravy. We found out after we ordered they have no gravy. We still ordered the same item without the gravy. Food is good, but it's hard to mess up breakfast. The decor was very 'institutional' feeling, cold, no warmness, floors were messy, trash here in there. The service was lacking. The server was very helpful but the staff seemed to be oblivious to us and we found ourselves waiting throughout uncomfortable long lengths of time. In the beginning we came to a point that we thought maybe they don't have servers. We had to go find someone to help us, than later to get a box to go. Just very inattentive service all the way around. Took forever to get our check. I ordered a latte extra hot, our server acknowledged that I wanted it extra hot. It was like warm when I got it. Great name, LUXE but the service, and atmosphere does not go hand in hand with the name! No reason to come back here again.
