The ambiance is romantic and cozy, with a charming decor that transports diners to a different time and place. The interior design is elegant and refined, with tasteful artwork adorning the walls. Prices are on the higher end, but well worth it for the quality of the food and service. My review is based on just 3 parts: the food, room, and Regis.Remember, quality, not quantity. The food was impeccable. Nothing like I’ve ever tasted in my life. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in Quebec and elsewhere, but, “La Bouche Des Goute” was amazing. The food was well sized, not like the other Quebec meals. Yes, the prices are a bit steep, however, you are getting the best of the best. I had the bread with cheese as a appetizer, the duck for the main, and the custard with ice cream for dessert. Nothing like this, I honestly cried because I’ve never tasted anything better and I am so sad that I left so early, if I were you I’d stay forever. My mom had the lamb and that was great as well. The serving was huge. It was on a wooden board with extra veggies. The atmosphere was very romantic, and don’t get me started with the breakfast. FABULOUS. I had ham with some real maple syrup, home fries, eggs and some bread with some jam. Typically, I don’t eat breakfast, but, I loved this meal. So filling.Next, The room. It was spacious. Very clean, I got a river view and it was breathtaking. Even the bathroom had a river view, I almost kept the blinds open, it was so beautiful. The best was so comfortable. The first time I saw it, I was sceptical, I thought “How could this little cover keep me warm?” But, boy was I wrong. I was so comfortable that I didnt want to get out of bed. Finally, Regis was a fabulous, host, chef, and overall person. His smile lights up a room and once you get to know him, He is so funny and when you need something, he would be right there and accommodate you as well as he can. He is honest, kind, and funny. All the best qualities for the best host.PS. Don’t look at the bad reviews, they are not worth your time, All the bad reviews are because of their mistakes, but, their mistakes reflect on his reviews? I think they need to be more considerable. Mind you, Regis is running the place all by himself, (Not counting the few cleaners and the 1-2 employees) give him a chance and please be patient.
Everything was perfect! Regis the owner and chef was professional and his meals were excellent 10/10.The rooms were lovely, clean and the beds were fabulous.I highly recommend L’Estampilles. You will love your stay!
We had the most wonderful meal here. Excellent service, excellent food. The best we’ve had in the Charlevoix and Quebec City. The restaurant has reopened after being closed last year because of Covid. Just a few minutes drive away from the crowds of the centre ville. We’re so glad we found it. Regis is an exceptional chef and host. Highly recommended!
