La Brulerie Caumartin is located next to Passage du Havre in Paris, I called in here to grab some takeout to take back to my hotel after I was told they could make me a simple chicken and chips dish gluten-free, it came to just under 14 euros which is cheap by Paris standards, but based on the food I can tell why it was cheap. It was served in a decent quality takeout dish so the food stayed hot, but I only had a short distance to travel anyway so maybe that also played a part. The fries were greasy as hell, they did look fresh but they were ruined by the grease dripping from them, I did manage to try one and they were also unseasoned and I pretty much gave it a miss. The skin of the chicken had no crispiness to it, again it was wet due to being on top of the chips and the chips being greasy, meaning I pretty much only ate the meat off the chicken leg, no sauces other than standard mayonnaise and ketchup either left it tasting pretty bland overall. Pretty much an insult to the Brasseries and cafe scene which is so dominant across Paris. 1*
