It was a cute little spot with a nice atmosphere. The spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi were both delicious, and the service was friendly. The food prices, especially the spaghetti, were fair. However, the drink prices were surprisingly high for the location. We ordered an Aperol Spritz and a Limoncello Spritz, which weren’t listed on the menu, and each ended up costing more than a meal. We weren’t sure why they were so expensive, especially since we had paid less for the same drinks at a restaurant right next to the Colosseum. For a place tucked away in an alley, a 14€ Aperol felt excessive. The bread was yummy and fresh though. La Buca di Ripetta was one of my favorite restaurants I visited in Rome. It’s a nice, cozy little restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience feel authentic and relaxing. Everything we ordered was delicious. From the appetizers to the pasta and seafood, every dish was full of flavor, but the steak really stood out. It was honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. The service was very friendly and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus while traveling. If you’re looking for a smaller restaurant in Rome with amazing food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend La Buca di Ripetta. Easy 5 stars!
