We ended up coming back to La Carbonara three times during our stay in Rome, which says it all! The amatriciana was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best we had. The gnocchi alla sorrentina were perfectly soft and baked with delicious tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. And don’t skip the tiramisu it was honestly to die for! The Aperol Spritz were also fantastic and only €5, making them one of the best-value drinks we found in Rome. The food was consistently excellent, the prices were very reasonable, and every visit was just as enjoyable as the last. If you’re staying near San Giovanni, this place is an easy recommendation. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Rome!
