Great service, the best garlic prawns ever! and the fillet steak was amazing. Parking: Parking galore at the back. Had not been here for 40 years. Walking in, the place still had the feel of olde world charm, trattoria style, the charm continued with the two elderly ladies (wo)manning the front desk. That was the end of the charm. Just to get water on the table and a drinks order in, took an eternity and a walk to the front desk. Then came the real disaster, the food. Just what was that meat used for the scallopini ? The texture was that of a thin slice of stale cake covered in gravy, the cottoletta (crumbed veal) was as dry as.....you work it out. The squid tasted like it had been crumbed in a corn flake mix. These dishes come with nothing else on the plate, not even garnish, I will never get used to this practice.The bread was very ordinary. I do not enjoy knocking a place like this, which has stood the test of time, maybe I just got a bad night, a really bad night. The salad was simple, but good. The bolognese ragu was good, the chips were good. The wait staff tried hard after the initial lapse and were very pleasant. But the food......
